Project

EDI Approaches to Knowledge Mobilization and Patient Engagement

Exploring how equity, diversity, inclusion and decolonization principles are applied to knowledge mobilization and patient engagement

Despite growing recognition of EDI-D approaches in research and patient engagement, there is limited understanding of how EDI principles are applied to knowledge mobilization. The purpose of this scoping review is to explore the academic and grey literature surrounding knowledge mobilization, patient engagement, and EDI-D principles to determine the types of knowledge available, identify gaps, and inform further research in this field.

Our research questions are:

1. What is the current landscape of knowledge regarding the application of EDI-D principles to knowledge mobilization?

2. What are the gaps and opportunities for advancing knowledge mobilization practices through an EDI-D lens?

3. What are the implications for chronic pain research and engagement?
